I specialize in large-scale black and grey tattoo artistry in Wellington, working primarily in two styles: dark realism and geometry - though not limited to them.

Each piece is custom designed and requires multiple sessions to achieve the depth and detail that defines my work.

THE PATH TO TATTOOING

I've been tattooing professionally for over 16 years, but my path to this started much earlier.

I'm a second-generation tattoo artist - my father learned the craft from a gypsy and passed that foundation on to me.

But my real education started as a child, spending hours copying pictures out of National Geographic, obsessed with capturing form and detail with nothing but a pencil. That drive to replicate what I saw - texture, depth, dimension - became the foundation for everything I do now.

High school art class was the only one I regularly attended. Everything else was noise. This was what mattered: the desire to learn, push technical boundaries, create work that stands the test of time.

WHAT DRIVES IT

After 16+ years, the challenge still drives me. Can I capture subtle gradients in a face? Make geometric patterns feel organic? Create something that looks as strong in 20 years as it does today?

Every piece is an opportunity to push further, solve a technical problem I haven't solved before. That desire to improve, test boundaries, see what's possible - that's what kept me drawing as a kid and what keeps me passionate about this work now.

I don't take shortcuts. I don’t copy other designs. I work from concept to make you something that is uniquely yours. This is what I do. This is the work.
